I bought these.. and wear them with a slim fitting shirt.. not too baggy otherwise I'll look bigger than I am.

it dont matter what type you are it just depends on how you present yourself really i mean you can be short and fat and you could still pull it off or you can be tall and scrawny and still pull it off

Plus-size women typically don't look the best in them. They just tend to make a plus-sized woman look bigger on the bottom than they are. You say you're "chubby", but what pants will be the most flattering on you depends on where you carry your weight. If you have thinner legs and carry most of your weight in your midsection, then wide-leg pants will help balance out your shape. If your legs are thicker and you have a smaller waist, then I would recommend boot-cut jeans instead.

I'm a pretty tall girl, about 5'10'', and I know that wide-leg jeans do look good on the tall people [because I wear them all the time and loooove them]. I would have to say they would work on you too. I've seen some short people rockin' the wide-leg jeans and I love it.
I say go for it and you'll love 'em!

Hmmm...can't or shouldn't? The jeans themselves are NOT the problem. It's what you wear on top that will give the overall look. If a very large person wears wide legged jeans and then wears something that's very boxy or billowy on top, they would look all one size...a large oblong!

I don't think any body type can't pull of wide leg jeans, but it looks worst on very skinny very petite people with perfect legs.

Mine - petite & slim. If I wear clothes that are too wide or baggy it makes me look shorter and like I'm a little kid playing dress-up with my mother's clothes.

Very thin tall people will hve a problem because it will cause an imbalance between the top & bottom halves. The clothing they would have to wear to balance out shoulder, hip & legs would make them look unnatural on top.

People with normally wide legs, it makes them look like someone blew up their pants. It also makes it look like her thighs are too wide for her body. =[

thick (as in fat-thick) body types.
but I only say this BECAUSE most of the larger people I see wearing wide leg jeans have the wrong size, they are not meant to be skin tight on the thigh. they should be comfortably loose to have the best look. think like this:
