first, I go up and down my street collecting all of my neighbors recycling and trash, and put all the trash in the empty swimming pool. then I go to the gas station and purchase some gasoline. after dousing the trash in gas, I light the pool on fire. then I fashion a makeshift fishing rod out of a stick and some string, and tie the potato on to it. then I just sit on the diving board, dangle the potato over the blaze, and voila! baked potato!

Split a raw potato and scoop out the insides. Put insides in a saucepan and cover (just) with salted water. boil on high heat until insides are cooked (soft). Drain any remaining water. Put pan on low heat and for each potato add :
2 Tablespoons milk
1/2 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon sour cream
A dash of:
Bacon (chopped)
or
Minced garlic
or
Whatever else you like.
Whip together and heat until mashed potato like consistency is achieved. Now fill the potato skins up with the mix and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Serve!

Go to the beach. dig a pit. Put dry wood at the bottom of the pit. light wood on fire. When the fire is almost out, place large stones on the burning wood. put a layer of wet seaweed on the stones. wrap potatoes in foil. place them on seaweed. place tarp over the whole thing. wait a bit and you have baked potatoes. Hint: Throw some lobster, clams, corn, yams, etc on the seaweed and you'll have a clam bake.
Total prep time: 12 hours.

I bake my potatoes in an oven (wrapped in tin foil). After they are baked i add cheese, bacon, and sour cream. I don't like plain baked potatoes.

Wash the potato.Prick it all around with a fork to keep it from exploding. If you want a crunchy skin just stick it nude in the oven,if you want a more tender skin, wrap it in tin foil.Put it in a preheated oven at 200C/400F.It will take between 40 mins. to an hour depending on the size of the potato.

First I boil the potato in salt water for about 5 minutes. While that's being done, I'll set out some foil and pour olive oil and salt on it. Then I'll take the boiled potato, place it on the foil & wrap the potato, then place the potato on the grill for about 15 to 20 minutes.
A potato WILL NOT EXPLODE if you don't poke it with a fork. You shouldn't poke the potato with a fork.

Frankly I just wash them, wrap them and throw them in the oven...don't like wasting my bbq gas for those.
Then I lather in butter/sour cream/chives and bacon bits. Dont have that too often however...I prefer my taters cut up, baked with olive oil, salt, rosemary and a dash of paprika and sage.
