u no the whole "had to walk 35 miles to skool in the snow thru jungles n over mountains wit no shoes, carried a butter knife to fite off wild lions runnin loose all over, all after wakin up at 3 in the mornin to milk the cows n feed the chickens, plus get all the lil brothers n sisters ready" speech. surrrrrrrrre!

look at the divorce rate. its very high. many more people choose to be single or just not get married.

Your question REALLY amuses me. (:
but anyhow, my grandparents haven't told me any wacko stories..... but they do comment on my "slutty" clothing.
"oh my heavens, what are you wearing? I would be in soo much trouble when i was a kid if.. blah blah blah"
I'm like "OHKAY GRANDMA!"
Actually, my clothes are almost the least slutty out of the majority of snots in my grade.

For most people it is easier. Some elderly people still remember using horses as transportation- imagine how cold that was on early mornings. Most children did walk to school all year round and in the rain too. Clothes washers required you to put the clothes into different sinks to rinse and wash. everything had to be ironed. Some people still had wood burning stoves even when I was young. We had neighbors with a outhouse until I was at least 8 years old. So yes it is easier and more comfortable now.

ughh my parents were born in a small village in china in a really tiny house

they didnt have that much food and money but they still survived and now they are parents of 2 teenage daughters that are very obient but they still give them freedom and get good grades and A 10 year old brother they gets full scores on his standardize state tests and living in an apartment in nyc amazing right?

he told me I have it way harder now. He actully said my life has to suck. This gives me tears.
