if the master is kind and gentle, is slavery not slavery? if the master is a good provider, is it not still slavery?

No - I would say that Credit Cards and HMO's are closer to slavery than taxation.

I like having police protection and fire emergency. I also like being educated... all of which is *already* being made possible with my tax dollars.

I do not like being in poor health... which is being made possible by corporations.

Republicans don't like taxes one bit, so I guess we'll have to find the magic bullet-growing tree in the forest of wishes next time we want to go to war...

No. taxation is a necessity. Over taxation may be placing an undue burden on the populace but certainly isn't slavery..........

Taxation is not slavery. Usury is slavery. Capitalism results in slavery for the majority.

third world countries don't have taxation...they also don't have roads or electricity...take your pick.
