I know (from personal experience) that you should not, in any case, behave like you want him. Because it will be harder then. He will feel worse when you break up with him. Look, why don't you just wait until he makes a move? and then tell him that you really like him, but as a friend, even brother, but nothing else... just, don't rush and say anything before HE says something.

Ok, I'm sure this won't be the first time that you encounter this but here's my advice. A lot of people go through this and different people handle it different ways. Some would just go along with it and end up hurting him in the long run..I personally believe in being honest upfront. It's not fair to you to talk to someone that you don't like and it wouldn't be fair to him if you lead him on. He will end up getting hurt either way...now or later...but just let him know that he is a good friend but you don't look at him like that. Tell him that you value his relationship or friendship in the brother/sister way and you would like to keep it like that. If he is a true friend he will have to respect your decision. Good Luck! You need to tell him the truth. You should never be afraid to hurt someone's feelings as in this case it is the best thing for him. Explain to him that you have no romantic interest in him, but you feel like he is your brother. If he can handle that, he will be your friend. If he cannot handle that, then he has a lot of growing up to do.

Well, why don't you tell him the truth right away instead of playing this game.... Take a big breath and talk to him like an adult rather than a school girl, otherwise you will regret this mind game for the rest of the school years.

people dont be mean to her! ok things are really complicated in middle school, there is alot of drama and you dont understand alot of things yet. im a high school junior and i have alot of cousins in middle school that have alot of problems and they come to me. if you dont like the boy you cant lead him on but also you need to give him a chance. if you really trust him and he trusts you then you should explain to hi, that you dont want to ruin your friendship by dating eachother. in about a year or two you might be surprised at what kind of boy he will turn out to be. so i would just say wait til you both mature mentally.good luck xoxo.

Tell him that you can only be friends and want to concentrate on your schooling before even thinking of a relationship or anything like that.
Say that you are in school to learn and make loads of friends. If he wants to date you, say the best time to ask is when we have completed out final exams..

Just tell him you want to be friends and nothing else right now. But don't be all weird around him because then he'll feel weird, he might not be the same for a little while after but he'll come back around if hes a true friend.
Just don't lead him on, ok?

Just keep him as a friend,don't get in situations where the two of you are alone,keep it light and don't make a big deal out of it ,unless you decide you like him as well.Give it time,the year's just begun.

If you really don't like him, then don't worry too much about his feelings (don't be a jerk, though). He'll get over it. He has a whole life of getting shot down ahead of him and it needs to start somewhere.
