Well they fight because they disagree on everything and everyone else is always wrong.

Oh and don't tell people that your in the middle because then apparently you don't have an opinion. I don't know if it has occured to people that you can have both liberal and conservative views without actually being conservative or liberal. Those people I like to call small minded.

I like Ron Paul, Barrack not so much, but more then Hillary.

Crap I don't know who I am going to vote for. I dislike most of the politicans.

I do also like Biden but he won't get it, just like Paul.

Well, there are those who know what is right and those who think they know what is right. Then of course there are those who don't care.

I believe defending this country from terrorists is right. I believe NOT killing our future leaders is right. Does this mean that I am a Republican? No, not necessarily. There are some Democrats who believe in those things, but hold different views apart. The reason the Dems and Repubs fight so much is because there is a battle being waged between right and wrong; smart and dumb.

In the beginning, this country was united on Christian principles. It continued on that road and should stay on that road, because it was there first and it is the reason we are the wealthiest nation on earth.

We would be in anarchy today if someone in the past hadn't stood for something they believed was right and held their ground. Those who don't hold a good perception of what they believe are like mercenaries fighting for Rome only to gain money and beer, whilst sharing confidential information with whom they are fighting. Sounds complicated. That is why I hold to what I believe in whether I'm labeled democrat or republican.

In rebuttal I am not mocking you either. I don't understand why people 'vote' for President or anyone else. Your 'vote' doesn't mean anything. As long as there is an electoral college doing the choosing of the President the average person's vote doesn't mean a thing. As for other politicians why elect them either. They promise this or that to help the people they are supposed to represent, yet the minute they are in office they 'forget' the people who put them there. By the time they 'retire' they are all either millionaires at taxpayers expense or sitting on some big business board of executive officers. And they still receive 100% medical, dental and vision at taxpayers expense. In my opinion only.

the founding fathers were pretty adept at understanding power, they made it hard to get bills passed and make changes to the constitution, because they knew it would lead to better government, however that has been undercut severely by money exerting sway over politics, both parties are corrupt, and who ever is in power should be watched closely.

All men having power ought to be mistrusted.
James Madison
Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government.
James Madison

I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.
James Madison
In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution. T. Jefferson
Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct.T. Jefferson
Peace. commerce, and honest friendship with all nations--entangling alliances with none.

It would better for this nation if we have a strong centrist president and a strong centrist congress. People like Limbaugh and Hannity and Coulter and any of their counterparts on the left (sorry I don't know anyone as purposely spiteful as these ppeople on the Left BUT I am sure there are some) should just go away.... maybe Utah.... then we can actually get something done.

We need to stop sniping at each other and calling people names just for the purpose of pissing people off.

There will always be disagreements but I have never seen it as bad as I see it now. In the old days we debated in halls of government and at 6pm both sides had dinner with each other. No longer... the generation of Bush and Clinton are spiteful infants.

This is like asking why Red Sox fans hate Yankees fans... it's just more comfortable that way.

I'm all for Barrack too, but not that stooge McCain. I prefer Ron Paul out of the Republican field.

There have always been disputes. It used to be less vitrial, at least publicaly. Also, there never used to be so many front groups who so willingly did the dirty work of the policitcal parties. These groups have taken the policital debate outside of anything resembling decent and have debased the American political scene. They have also gathered a following seperate from the actual politicians and have become making demands, to which the politicians respond.

I can think of at least one group who fits this description, but I wouldn't want to offend anyone by admitting a truth....

The main motivation for most politicians is the accumulation of personal power. Therefore their biggest enemy is other politicians bent on the same thing. That's why they fight with each other. Their priority is to help themselves, and not help us.
National problems are but tools for them to use to accomplish their objectives. Problems that actually affect the country as a whole are purely a secondary concern. They are important only when an opponent takes a definite position on it, and thereby obligates them to take a contrary position.

Because our opinions are different. I think either Barrack or Ron Paul are the two best, although I don't think Ron Paul has a chance to come out of the republican race, I wish he were a democrat.
