Where did Carol Ann Duffy get her intrest in politics from?

Her dad was very involved in politics. He stood for the Labour Party , but didn't get in. He's been a Labour councillor, and worked for his union most of his life. Her grandad was Deputy Lord Provost of Glasgow.

She doesn't think she is very political herself : "I think the kind of energy politics would take has gone into my poetry."
