Banning hoodies is simply stupid... I really don't see the point of that, students she be given the liberty and right to wear what they want. Hoods I guess I understand my school doesn't allow hoods to be on either... they're kinda like hats, and hats is a no no in school.

I can see them not allowing the hoods to be up, seeing as schools don't allow mp3/c.d. players (well, at least mine doesn't) and people will try anything to conceal headphones so they can listen to music during class. Also, the hoods are basically hats, so if the school does not allow hats (again, mine does not, and I don't know of any that do) I can see them not allowing the hoods to be worn. However, I believe that it is ridiculous that they would consider banning hoodies altogether.

Yes it is silly to ban them. Banning particular items of clothing does not prevent crime. Hoodies keep people's heads warm. Not everyone likes to wear hats. It would make more sense to tell people not to have the hood up inside the building, the same way you're not supposed to wear a hat indoors.

yes its stupid because its style, they r 2 old 2 understand that kids and teens should have a right to express their style !i mean whats wrong with hoodies? what is the point of getting a hoodie if u cant put the hood on?its so gay that they r gonna do that!!! u should do somethin about it! everyone express their style differently...wearing hoodies with the hood on is just one of the ways! the only problem is that they dont understand that!good luck <3

In school we were allowed to wear hoodies, but not put the hoods up. I wasn't sure why. Maybe it's the same reason you can't wear a hat???

My college facilitates you to the place jackets and such, yet they don t enable something that covers your head. I ve continuously been breaking this rule by ability of donning the hood because of the fact it helps out lots interior the morning once you re feeling groggy and you merely don t choose to pay attention as lots noise or in case you re merely chilly. additionally, I m continuously getting issues at college and that i m continuously donning it if instructors don t tell me to no longer because of the fact it mutes out some noise and it darkens the room slightly. I continuously like the lecturers so much less while they care sufficient to enforce a rule that has lots extra solid than undesirable. and that i hate the lecturers that question me to take it off interior the hallways. on the gown code website of my college s internet site, it says the gown codes have been made so pupils can carry out superb interior the college environment. I don't live in America, but I don't think schoolchildren should have the hoods up - have they got anything to hide? It should be fine to wear the hoodies, though.

I don't know where you live but wearing hoods in school has always been banned in California schools....

Haha. You told me about this. I think it's reasonable - you can't always see who's under the hood, especially when guys wear caps under them. It's just so they can see the students, and just to make sure that, you know, no outsider gets in or anything.
