I should suppose the best way would be by putting oneself in the other person's place. In other words, stopping for a moment and imagining being that other person and what he or she is doing, why might be doing so, and how we think we might do so differently. Can we really act differently if we are in their current situation?

And, unfortunately, not everyone is always able to get out of situations life itself have put them in. Sometimes it is problems which cannot be avoided, for example.

I have to really examine myself the moment I start valuing people and their decisions. It is so easy to impose my priorities or preferences on someone else; I have to remind myself that I do not control them, and that if I feel the need to judge others, it usually is a sign I need to re-evaluate something else in my life. After all, what am I missing if I'm so busy being judgemental about other people's affairs?

Work on yourself, obviously this is a trait about you you would like to change...so understand that there are always exceptions to every situation, you cannot judge others till you walk a mile in their shoes....so when you walk the mile, judge yourself not others.

Good question. Unvarnished self-examination, I guess? I suspect there is an element of personal philosophy in it, too.

I'm not sure.

That is a really good question.....I would say to judge yourself first and if you dont like outcome don't judge others....I will tell you this though its hard because we rarely look at ourselves....

Pinot Noir helps,

Seriously, maybe exposure to different races and people. The more we learn about and are around others; the more we realize they are all human like ourselves.
