I think only Ferrari would give him a chance of beating Hamilton, but that would mean one of their current drivers would have to move.
I don't agree with your suggestion that Alonso wouldn't be allowed to win. He is their highest paid driver, so it is essential that he "brings home the gold".

personally i want Alonso to win it. where it would be nice for us Brit McLaren fans for Lewis to win i think Fernando is still the better of the two drivers. He has not yet said he is going to leave McLaren, i hope he stays so next year we can Kick Ferrari's @rse good and proper.
