I use MAC foundation but you might want to put a prep before using any foundation.

The Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious is exactly what you are looking for. It is an all natural mineral makeup that doesn't have any oils and most importantly NO bismuth. So it will never clog your pores. Will NEVER feel cakey and it let's your skin breath. If you put their primer on underneath it will cover all fine lines and your foundation will stay on for 15+ hours. Just do a Google search for Bee-Luscious Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation. I would post the link but sometimes I can and sometimes I can't because I get an error reading.

As I approached 30, I thought I needed a heavier foundation, but I find it settles in lines and looks cakey - making me look older instead of younger. I am 39 and still find the lightweight foundations dusted with loose powder are the best bet.
I like Stila's natural finish makeup. However, I was recently on vacation and forgot it and had to visit the drugstore for a quick fix. I bought Maybelline's "Pure Makeup" foundation
and I hate to admit I can't tell the difference.
ps: you didn't ask about skincare, but I recently bought L'Oreal's ReFinish Micro-Dermabrasion Kit (about $20). I don't think it does a whole lot to remove wrinkles, but it makes your skin amazingly soft and makeup goes on 100% better. I have really dry skin, and I can still use it every other day.

bare minerals by bare escentuals is the absolute best make-up i've found in over 25 years. it is made from 100 % pure minerals, doesn't look cakey, no settling in fine lines (i am 46 years old), it doesn't melt off in heat & humidity, you can hug people, without marking them. the company has been in business for 30 years, has won major awards (glamour, vogue, in-style, etc.), and is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation, because it is actually good for the skin. the full size foundation costs 25.00, but lasts me about one year, that's how little is needed. the starter kits are 60.00, including 2 shades of foundation, mineral veil, warmth (bronzer), glee (blush), 2 brushes, and the how-to dvd. the kit will last 2-3 month. try it out for yourself at any ulta, sephora, macy'c, or nordstrom store, to see, how you like it, before making a decision.

I am a makeup artist and I use the artistry brand of foundations on myself and my clients. They will not clog your poors and are hypo-allergenic. They also are in the top 5% for purity of products and allow less than .1% of bacteria in their products (most companys allow 30% or more which grosses me out).
