Yes they should be euthanized. They have been bred to be mean. They were never meant to be out among people. They were meant to be watchdogs in junkyards--and even then it is questionable whether kids or criminals deserve to be mauled for trespassing. Case after case proves it. And the apparent gushy support for pitbulls by the public is revolting. There was a case where the victim (she) apologized to the dog. Some people are too cowardly to stand up against a little wind.

That makes as much sense as euthanizing any other dog we might not like for any reason, ie., barks too much or pees on the carpet.., pitbulls can be mean you say? well, so can football players, soldiers, french poodles, and politicians..., and anyone capable of asking such a moronic question.

No. That is like saying all Arabs need to be euthanized, it is not right.

What they NEED is people following the laws and having common sense when owning a pit.

Bet you didn't know that Helen Keller had NUMEROUS seeing eye dogs which were pits. The first DECORATED war dog, was a pit and pits are the ONLY dogs which have made the cover of Life 3 times!

People taking advantage of their qualities should be the ones in jail, not the breed!

I don't believe they should.

If you think back - there has *always* been a demon dog. Before it was pits, it was dobermans, then german shepards, Chows, etc we can go on.

These dogs have been taken advantage of. If you can breed those features into an animal, you can breed them out (this was actually one of my questions before)
There are also may good and calm natured pits who have no aggressive tendencies. Unfortunately it isn't those dogs that are being replicated.

No. They get a bad rep because of bad owners who don't know how to care for a pit (I don't either, so I'm not about to live with one). They also get a bad rep because they are very tenacious, which is why evil scumbags breed them for fighting.

No just bad trainers, yes they were bred for dog fighting but a Pitbull under a good trainer can be a great pet.

As with an unruly child a dog that doesn't obey is all the owners fault....euthanize the owner.
