The premise is that "Angela is a dumb blonde." There is no assumption in this sentence that all blondes are dumb, just that Angela, who happens to be a blonde, is dumb.

I know Angela, she is really a brunette who has dyed her hair blonde, and well, yes, she was as dumb as a brunette as she is as a blonde.
