guitar enthusiast would not the words "Cover version" lead you to the conclusion that I know there was an original version?
I was walking on this earth way before aerosmiths 80's revival thanks and was enquiring slightly tongue in cheek as to what was the better copy of their song

veggie tart, they did the original, I'm talking bout "Cover versions" as in copies done by other bands(I don't think Girls Aloud count)

Hatseed Dixie does an odd version of Walk This Way, sounds like the singer needs another snort from the bottle. My favorite cover of this song is from the band, String Cheese Incident. Still on the bluegrass-side like Hayseed but much more upbeat.

Hayseed Dixie. Seen them a few times, very entertaining. Would be even better if they did the gig with Girls Aloud as backing dancers- not singers! Still can't beat the '75 original though.

Yeah, I think you forgot or are too young to know that Aerosmith originally wrote & recorded the song in the 70's and my answer is also Areosmith by the way.
Aerosmith rerecorded the song in the 80's with Run DMC and it's the only rap song I can tolerate (lol). Somebody like Slayer or Megadeth needs to record it to give it a new refreshed kick a*s boost, not these other crapy bands

I don't think he forgot Run DMC. It just wasn't in the running. I would say the Dixie did the best cover.
