I want to make a small area for me to park my trailer and I would like it to be on that brown coloured pea gravel or River rock, dont know what it is called.

How many bags do you think i need?

If you fill the area 3" thick here's the math to calculate how much you need. Adjust the math based on how thick you want the rock.

3inces thick divided by 12= .25 feet
200 sf X .25 = 50 Cubic ft
50 CF divided by 27 = 1.85 cubic yards

44-80# bags of rock = 1 cubic yard

44*1.85 = 82 - 80# bags of rock

If ordered by the ton it would be 3.25 tons

Consider upgrading from "pea" gravel because it's a pill to park in. You'll do so much better with a larger rock. I'm not sure what "river rock" is, actually. But I did a drive way with pea gravel and was so disappointed. It was so difficult to drive in and it left huge ruts when whenever you drove in or out. Maybe you'll consider pouring your own concrete blocks with a form and some sack-crete. Godloveya.

in the uk its called pea shingle, same difference i suspect.
i wouldn't recommend parking anything on it.
you will find small sharp pieces of stone in your tyres every time you drive over it. eventually cutting your tyres to pieces.
had the same problem myself, changed it now to 3/4 gravel.
had my car mot'd it failed because of the amount of splits i had in my tyres. only done 5000 miles on them, had to buy 4 new ones.
what ever you decide to use, don't make the same mistake many people make, don't lay it to deep. 1 1/2" is plenty. roll it when laid to compress it down and partially into the base layer.
if laid to deep you'll have to drive through it rather than over it.

you have an area of around 22 yd2
i wouldn't think that you would want much more than a cubic yard and a half

200 square feet ...lets say 3 inches deep ..3 inches is quarter of a foot ..therefor 200 divided by 4 is 50 ..50cubic feet ..there are 35 cubic feet in a cubic metre and 27 in a cubic yard ..50 divided by 35 is1.42metres ..the average weight of stone is 2tonnes per metre ..so i would say to you ..buy 3 tonnes

This depends on how deep you want the rock. If you say 2" deep, then you would need 1.25 cubic yards. If you are buying 60# bags of rock, you would need 66 bags.

A lot. Ask a cat how much it would like and go from there.
