I have a hypothesis.

nothing to back it up but conjecture but it is what i believe.

out bodies, souls are pure energy correct? Energy is life in a sence and within the human spirit even more so, it is focused energy with intelligence. so because energy can never truly be destroyed only the vessel carrying it i think of the body as a battery and when it wears out the energy or spirit does not die it disperses back to the universe.

if you die and are near someone at the same time they are being born or conceived i beleive the energy that is in that area is what helps spark the spirit within life so if they absorb a lot of a former persons energy explains why SOME people actually DO have very vivid memories of a former life. If you get a dose of a lot of mixed energy then you will most likely never recall any past lives.

I have had to experiences myself and it explains my fascination with both the Samuraii and Germany. The dreams are very vivid and i write them down now for years.

so sure most cannot remember, but some can and more than others and my explanation is the reason why I think.

Now this is JUST an opinion and I have nothing to base it on but my own logic. I hope it helps some.

Hi,
I often think about this and came up with the answer last week. There is so much in our present lives that we have forgotten. We might for instance be reminded of something we made/created/experienced that is just a fleeting memory and yet was quite solid at the time. So much we have completely forgotten. Few of us, for instance, can clearly recount our early childhood, we're just left with traces of memory. Was it real, was it not? That's another question. Even our memories of this current life can be questionable and aren't always reliable. So to remember our former lives ... perhaps that's just too much to ask. It would be great if we could though and maybe, just like in our memories of our current life, we do get a little glimpse of past lives in our dreams.

Even if we could, nine months of partial sensory deprivation would pretty much take out anything you carried over. The process of being born would wipe out the rest, and the process of finding your new identity and establishing yourself as a person would kick out any scraps that managed to hang on. The process of gestation and birth is a whole lot more traumatizing than the average person might consider. It's a miracle that anyone would remember anything at all given the entire set of circumstances that would conceivably entail entering the world in the normal way. When you consider the severe psychological trauma that a normal sensory deprivation chamber causes in just a few hours, months of nothing but heartbeats and stomach nosies would be mind numbing! Just a thought.

Because when the grim reaper got to you in that past
there was too much grim and not enough fun things

and sometimes even the fun things are not what the spirit desires as "Life" and just gets out of that life

Why would that spirit that beat feet outa there in the past want you to go backwards and remember after it went through so much effort to give you a new life to recreate yourself?

The past never exists
all that is is Now
Hopefully in this Now you have better fun for the angels of creation to use to paint your tomorrows

Enjoy!

God is Kind and Wise too.

People are tortured be their Past Moments of the day , week or the years lived. People are not forgetting how they are victimized. who is responsible. How to take revenge.

and in all these Past Eats Away the Present Moment. Making Future also a repetition of Past.

If one life is such a Hell. what will happen if past lives are remembered . World will be Madhouse.

We will need Two Worlds ,One for Living and Other for Curing.

Hi Lucky, one simple reason, we need to fully work on this one. If I was a Queen last time with wealth & position & ended up a struggling single mom this time, I would spend this life bemoaning my rotten luck. If I committed murder to self or another & could remember that, I would live this time immersed in this fact. There is a veil of of unknowing placed, it is a true second chance, without the rememberance of the baggage we carry. It's truly the kindest way.

They say the soul will not remember anything bad from the past lives and I am not sure if I agree ..they say that our soul when we die gets left off where we left it whatever conflict you have now is probably what you had in your last life time..I think though if you tap into the subconscious you can have visions of your past lives in your dreams...have you not ever dreamed of a place that you have never been before and it turns out that place is real and it exists I believe that this could be fragments of past lives :)))

Because, if we did our necks would snap at birth from the weight of our humungous brains, and mothers would have nothing but c sections, because; our brains would be huge and no woman is going to pass a skull that large out of her body naturally. It is a physical thing. There seem to be some trace memories in some people but whole memories take storage space and that means a bigger brain. That is why skulls start out small and soft.

We do… remember
In ways that haunt the corners of our memory
Shadows vanishing from recollection
When we turn to look
Trembling in the night after
Dreams not quite recalled
Déjà vu that wont face you eye to eye
These niggling sensations that give you
Hope of past lives
Lives yet to be lived
Without betraying the knowledge of
Death after death
