How to build an ant trap?

We need to build an ant trap for school project. we have cardboard, bait, and bleach. We are allowed to kill the ants.

I'm thinking of mixing the bleach with some honey or melted chocolate or something and get waxed paper and put it somewhere or something like that.

Think like an ant. Why should you go in that box and get that yummy food with that icky bleach fume, smell?

Think like a human. Ants aren't all that smart, they just go to food sources. Hmmmm, how accute is their sense of smell? They follow pheremone trails, but DO they smell the bleach?
