Seems like a total rip off to me. Die hard Zeppelin fans will not have a chance for this... PLUS the site has crashed due to overflow of people signing up for the ballot. How could they not prepare for an insane amount of people?
I think this show will be full of rich celebrities and press... and very few FANS.

No. Apart from Zeppelin you will also get to see Bill Wyman and his rhythm kings, Pete Townsend, Foreigner and some Paolo bloke.
That's FIVE acts. Divide £125 by 5 you get £25.
For an arena gig in London, I'd say that's good value.
And don't forget that no one is making a penny from this, as all profits are going to Charity.
The ballot system is SUPPOSED to ensure that touts don't buy blocks of tickets and charge you 800 quid each for them on ebay. I don't understand how it works for the real fans though. It's a bit like the Lotto I suppose....

I can understand the ballot for the tickets. Led Zep reforming is a massive thing, and they want to make sure that the seats are allocated fairly, and not snapped up by touts the minute they go on sale.
I think the price is a bit extortionate, though. I know it's for a charity, but they've priced it out of the reach of a lot of people who would love to go.

Well at least they are doing a ballot. I heard on the news about people (from the states) booking private jets or flights, when you add that to the price of the ticket - it sounds like an opportunity for the wealthy and connected alone. I wish they would reconsider going on tour. But I understand it is for charity ...... sigh

YES - the whole thing's f*cked. Why stop at one gig? It's like putting a steak in a cageful of hungry lions.
To be honest, I haven't got a chance in hell of getting a ticket. But I don't care, have seen Jimmy Page play at Donington and Robert Plant rocking out a tiny sweaty venue, and those beat standing in an arena with a load of smug gits.
Also, I'm going to see the Misfits in a couple of weeks in a small venue, and that will probably kick Zep's *** into oblivion...
As for paying £150 to see the Stones, well... jesus christ, they saw you coming, didn't they??? A fool and his money and all that...

Nooo!!
It's a charity gig. All proceeds are goin' to a music charity in Turkey (!). Ahmet was a Turk apparantly.
BTW, to all those tryin' to register their details on the ballot, just keep trying. It'll just suddenly pop in ok without warning. I tried for 3 hours about b4 mine went in. But, I think it's gone worse now. I think they had around 20,000,000 (!)applications by the end of the first day. The site was getting 80,000 hits a minute!

I don't think it is a rip-off. I paid £150 to see the Rolling Stones and they were worth every penny. At least with a ballot you've got more chance of getting tickets legitimately rather than having to pay through the nose of getting them through a dealer. I know it doesn't stop this from happening but they seem to be the ones blocking the phone lines whenever tickets go on sale.

I think they are trying to do it in the fairest way possible. Unfortunately I don't think it'll stop touts from putting themselves into the ballot and I don't doubt we'll still see tickets going for a silly amount of money on other sites.
Good for LZ for doing what they can though. It's more than most other bands bother to do.

You can't be ripped off unless you buy - if you feel it's a rip off... don't buy!
Leaves at least one more ticket for those people who would pay ANYTHING to see them live!
By the way...
Did you say 'Led Zeppelin' or 'Dead Zeppelin'?

It's not like Robert Plant is holding a gun to anyone's head. They are simply giving the people want they want. Not everyone who wants to see them will have the chance, so you have to expect it will be a hard ticket to procure.
