I learn lessons by teaching, but; I have been taught how to learn. I don't know if the teacher was trying to teach me or not, but: they were standing there in front of a class with a lesson plan in their hand. That was the clue I took that they were supposed to be the teacher. That and the fact their name was on the syllabus. Hmmm. Of course, I was probably daydreaming like I do in most classes. There is the lesson the teacher wants you to learn and the lesson you learn are not always the same thing. I totally ignored my first algebra teacher to focuse on the girl two seats over. So who was the teacher and what was the lesson? I think it was that the girl was hot and the class was boring, and when I took it over again to show that I was not a moron I was placed in an accelerated program, math that was. The girl on the other hand became a science project. There are advantages to being lab monitor like being able to do experiments after class with no supervision. Ahhh, the good old days.

We learn lessons from people who have had more experience than we have had in a particular field. There's an expression"he/she's been around the block a few times",meaning that person has learned from living the life, not just reading the book about it.

Everyone teachers, even if they are not aware of it. I learn from everyone. Sometimes I may not like the lesson, but I always learn.

teachers are paid to teach the lessons. but those who are not teaching have no distant insterest and they are not biased. their teaching goes directly to heart.
Time is the best teacher.

"The Teachers Who Aren't Teaching?" Maybe you need me as a teacher to tell you that capitalizing your words is annoying.

my take on your question is, are you able to glean wisdom from people whose lives are teaching you valuable lessons, even though they aren't in the profession of teaching.
and if that is what you are asking, then yes. i have made major life changes based on looking at what wasn't working for others, admitting that i did those things too, and changing my ways so i wouldn't end up like them. i have also made changes to my life based on the positive, healthy practices of role models i have chosen for myself in my life. thanks for the question :) it was interesting!
