Stuck switch.
Since the brakes are all hydraulic now, unsticking them isn't as easy as it once was. You've got a year and a half of warranty left. Have the dealer fix it. If you ride it there (not really a good idea), WATCH YOUR BACK!

If it's an 07, take it to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty. Most likely a problem with one of the brake switches.

your front brake light switch in the right handlebar switch housing is broken. Probaly when you change the grips (not warranty). About $45 bucks plus labor.

could be a foot pedal that is out of adjustment and holding the brake on a little. could be a bad switch, could be a short. take it to the dealer, it's under warranty.

Quit holding on to the brake! You'll never see my brake lights on, I'm too busy hitting the throttle through the city!
