Ok Bert doesn't know anything about computers obviously.
A GPU or Graphics Processing Unit, is the aka video card. Everything else are the specs to the two ATI Radeon X1950's.
I looked at the ATI HD series GPU's(see above), and I don't think they are worth the money... yet.

The mobo is an Asus(That would be the brand name) P5K3 Deluxe(Model), crossfire ready so... SLI won't work apparently. Since ATI Radeon GPU's(see above) Are crossfire ready, those would be my best bet.

Thanks to everyone else who gave useful info.

Wow, that card is not nearly as bad as these people are making it out to be, and I would definately take a pair of them over a pair of 2600s, no questions asked. Unless you can afford to get either an 8800 or 2900, this is your best bet.

Listen John, you have me confused.

Unless you think that we know MOBO's by heart, you've got another thing coming.

There must be hundreds if not thousands of MOBO's on the market. It's a good thing you gave us a few facts.

ATI Radeon X1950 Pro (OK I guess) ATI is a well known firm and reliable.

The 256 GDDR3 is your RAM (NOT ENOUGH).

PCI Express (Run of the mill).

Dual DVI (?) Probably like Duo Core or Core II duo.

CrossFire Ready (Probably another name for FireWall - OK I guess)

Video Card - The ATI IS the Video Card.

PS: What's a GPU?
Or did you mean CPU, that info you didn't say.
;-)

That's an awesome and envious motherboard that deserves no less than an 8800GTX or Ultra rather than an aging X1950 Pro.

if you stay with the motherboard you have and ddr3, you dont want to go with an old card like this. go with the hd 2000 series, these cards here http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048+106792278&name=Radeon+HD+2000+series

I'd go with a couple 2600XTs. Forget about the 1950s cuz they're DX9.
