I hope you didn't use the gas that was sitting for a year, unless it had stabilizer in it?

After setting a year, you want to replace anything that has to do with fuel. Some vehicles have two fuel filters, one in the engine compartment and the other under neath the body. Also buy and additive, that is just for the problem your having. Also always keep your fuel tank half full at all times. When you get close to a low tank of gas, the fuel pump will pickup dirt from the bottom of the tank. Also after the car setting for a year you may try slick 50 works great!!! hope I've been of some help

If you didn't purge the old gasoline that had been sitting in the gas tank for a year, then you should have it done now to clean your tank, fuel lines, injectors etc. Replace the fuel filter after all the old gas has been flushed out.

Yes fuel injected cars a very sensitive to sitting up for periods of time.It sounds like you need to have a fuel injection service done on it and spark plugs and wires and you should see a major difference.
