Well, there is Melatonin. You can purchase that in the vitamin section of any pharmacy or supermarket. It comes in 1,3 or 5 mg. Standard dosage is about 3 for an adult.

There is also Valerian root. That is also doubled for a muscle tension reliever for PMS.

They are both good supplements. But just for basic insomnia I would have to say Melatonin is well favored.
