It seems to be coming from the back somewhere, it's definitely not something inside like food or anything. There is nothing on the floor or in the back; I have wiped down the fridge several times and it kinda goes away for almost an hour then returns. I don't know what else to do...

Have you checked the drip pan underneath the fridge. Some times water and gunk stand in it causing an odor.:)

I believe someone already said that you may have a coolant leak. Check the back of the fridge, or if you have some help, slide it out and see if there's a pool underneath. If it definitely looks like coolant, call the repairman. If you're not 100% sure, mop up the liquid and check again in a few days.

Vinegar takes urine smells out of everything. Try making a solution of equal parts vinegar & water in a spray bottle and using it to clean the inside and outside of the fridge. An open box of baking soda left inside can help eliminate odors as well.

You should also check the drip pan under the fridge and give it a good cleaning with hot soapy water, dry it, and give it a spray down with the vinegar/water solution as well.

yikes. yeah, get some hardcore cleaner, definitely some bleach, or simple green or vinegar or ammonia - or all! also clean out the INSIDE of your fridge real good cuz there's no telling where the smell is coming from, and get some arm&hammer for the inside of your fridge. after that, i'd say you either have to take the fridge apart and find out what's going on, or get a new fridge!

have you had the coolant checked lately. You might have a leak. It gives off a bad odor kind of like urine. I would call a repairman and have it checked out.
