I get really severe allergy attacks. My worst complaint is my nose is constantly running that I'm blowing my nose ever few seconds and it's never enough. I'm tired of always having a raw nose. I have taken prescription meds before. I'm immune to 99% of them due to overuse over the past 29 years. What are good alternative remedies that I can use to stop or prevent my allergy attacks?

Allergies are your immune system over-reacting and going haywire. What you want to do for a long-term solution is improve your overall health while boosting your immune system. Eating spicy foods helps thin the mucus and clear the sinuses. Garlic and cayenne are great for the immune system. Wasabi is that Japanese horseradish mustard they give you with sushi. I love it. They say a spoonful a day will help prevent allergies but I can't stomach that much, lol! For herbs: Quercitin, stinging nettle, eyebright, astragalus, and echinacea are all good as well as taking antioxidant supplements and lots of vitamin C.

You didn't say what you're allergic to specifically. There are things you can change in your environment in addition to supplements. Washing your bedding in hot water will kill dust mites, getting rid of carpeting and putting an air filter in your bedroom helps too.

HoneyBee Pollen will make you immune to allergies! It is awesome stuff. You just take a spoonful a day. You can put it on your cereal or in yogurt. It looks and tastes like oats. Fairly cheap too. About $15 for a big jar of it. You can find it all over the internet to buy. Make sure it is reputable.

I grew up with about the same problems. It 19 years old, I had a guy introduce to me what I am going to tell you about. I have since suggested it to many people and most have had the same results. I would suggest that you try it. It is made by a company called Shacklee (not sure about the spelling) It is thier multi vitamin and mineral product. You will see the results after about 30 days. It is an all natural product. Note: I do not sell the product nor do I receive money from their sales.

There aren't many that actually work. Studies show that fresh local unpasteurized honey is worthless. There are some Chinese herbal mixtures that work - turns out that they have antihistamine properties, so probably easier/safer to just take an antihistamine pill
