Who screwed up and lost the steel industy = YANKEES

Who decided a job worth 10 dollars an hour was now worth 45 and forced car makers to move to Mexico = YANKEES

beardog, when Toyota and several other car makers wanted to build new plants did they go north to Yankeeland, home of the greedy and grasping? No, they knew that they wanted that great SOUTHERN work ethic. The South has risen again, a multicultural power house taking banking, industry and leaving the Yankees to stew.

Samantha, really. For every racial incident in the south in the last 5 years, there are ten just in NYC alone. Get out of the history channel and see the future. It's in the South.

On one hand, this is plausible through fact AFraud lives in Miami for the period of the offseason and the Marlins choose something -- even a bite of crap, washed-up, steroids-making use of, third baseman -- to attempt to charm to followers next season. That suggested, I doubt the Marlins gets him for no longer something regardless of if the Yankees take Bell, so as that area of the story is recommendations-blowing. I, in my view, think of Miami would be nuts to handle ARoid through fact he's a participant thoroughly and fully devoid of upside, and he's so previous now that a metamorphosis of atmosphere won't reenergize his profession. Loria had a run final season the place he blew money on "call" gamers yet none of them have been washed-up whilst he signed them. i truly doubt that this deal pans out.

Well and what tobacco leaf did you fall out from under??? I am a Yankee as you say and darn proud of it. But I also live in the south and thank god I don't come across ignorant people like you . I work with the public everyday of all race, color, ethnics , and none have the mentality you do.

whew... ok...

First of all, I live in the South.

2nd of all, I haven't heard anyone refer to a "yankee" since I went to see a civil war reenactment 6 years ago...

3rd, it was GM that forced the auto-industry over seas so they wouldn't have to give jobs to Americans at what we're worth...

4th, what does the auto industry have to do with the conflicts between the north and south?

The term Yankee (also Yank) has a number of possible meanings, but in almost all contexts, it refers to someone of American origin or heritage.

If you are an American you are criticizing yourself!!

EDIT* Going on what another post has said the most of the US does not class itself as Yanks. However, do you realise that in England for example, you are identified 'Americans or Yanks',

Ok I found the information:-
Traditionally Yankee was most often used to refer to a New Englander (in which case it may suggest Puritanism and thrifty values), but today refers to anyone coming from a state north of the Mason-Dixon line, with a specific focus still on New England.
~The term "Swamp Yankee" is used in rural Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and southeastern Massachusetts
~In the American South, the term is sometimes used as a derisive term for Northerners, especially those who have migrated to the South. As some Southerners put it, "A Yankee is a Northerner, and a Damnyankee [written and pronounced as one word] is a Northerner who moves (or comes) South".
