The bible is not a myth!
If you want ot be ignorant, that's your decision.
But, I have to do my job as a Christian, and tell you that GOD LOVES YOU! He sent Jesus (His only son) to die for a world full of sinners like us.. How can you look around you and say that there's not a God?!
John 14:6--
And Jesus said, "For I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the father but by me."

The bible is a title of a book under observation, written by scholars of the day, superstitions include.
Our interpretations of magic performed are easily digested if you can think like the scholar language of that time.
Turning water to wine is an example. A form of prohibition happened and like today in some cultures, is still not allowed to be consumed.
Then one person stood up, and said, hey this is wrong, you have the right to make a choice, if you choose to drink wine, drink wine, and likewise with water.
He removed the jar of water from in front of him, and raise a glass with wine.
That time on, the expression= Turning water to wine.
A lot of translation, did not move with word description growth through the generations.
As I understand each year, new words are introduced into language.
Books and expressions don't automatically change with each generation.
I read old authors, sometimes for the stories, mainly for the language expression used when a particular author wrote basically an essay.
I am reading Emily Bronte at this moment and have read Mark Twain, the language separation by countries and time line is an incredible experience, by example of those two authors as akin to a modern writer, whose expressions bandying around similar subjects has changed, essentially the story remains the same.
The way I read an author, there is more truth in the fiction. It's the language used in that time line.
Those are my thoughts on the subject, it has no religious significants to me, my parents did a good job in my education, I defined my line later in life.
Asking, learning, becoming aware and going forth, isn't all that bad a deal.

Your question seems completly confused and inconcise. What point are u trying to make? Is this realy a question or are u stating your beliefs?
Just to clear things up Caesar, who i assume you meen as Caesar Augustus, is only mentioned once in The Bible, This is when he ordered that a census be taken of the Roman world. Surely this must make you question your belief that the bible is the word of Caesar. As we all no Caesar was a dictator of types that this would seem odd? Also surely anyone with a crude understanding of history would notice the bible was writen before and after Caesars birth and death!! the old testament around ~ to 500bc and New Testament around 40bc to 90bc. Caesar lived 63bc-14AD.
Another point i would like to make about your last statement is that surely even if you believe the bible is only part truth then the just half of it alown makes it a amazing book? the bible and christainity is the only major religion to make prophocies (in the bible) that have come true. And i would urge you to rethink your believes.

Well generally the bible was written by the hand of man and it is a fact that most of the gospels were revised and deleted from the original bible. God told man what to write in as his word or "bible".
But over the many generations, some of the more important people added their own saying and stories in the bible. then there was the time of constatine, in which he change the bible to suit what we would classify as a religion, so again the bible was revised.
The the bible was translated from its orinal language to the most well know languages such as latin, french and evntually english. When translations occur, certain words become misconstrew with others and then give ppl a diffrent meaning of what it mean, and now as we all know, the bible is not the most understoon book in the world. So in essense the bible has become the word of man, with little reference to what the actual "God" asked his prophets to write

I think a lot of it is accurate and true. Consider the lineage listed in the old testament. The old testament is largely based on Jewish sources, and the Jewish civilization has always been fairly meticulous about recording lineage.
There's also a lot of history in the bible, such as interactions between ancient cultures, as well as Roman history. As with all history, it is written by the winners, so while not deliberately misleading, you have to be wary.
I'm sure a lot is allegory: Parables told by Jesus and other prophets for example. They told stories to teach people lessons. Some may have been true, others not; it doesn't really matter because only the message was important.
Some is obviously myth or fiction, to the rational mind. Personally, I do not believe in miracles or divinity. Plenty of people do believe, but that belief is based on faith, which is inherently irrational ("Irrational" in the literal sense, as in, "not based on reason". Not irrational as in "crazy").

the bible is mostly a myth, however there have been some things discovered in modern times that tells us through science that something went on about when the bible says it did. Jericho, for instance, and there was a fire there, but did the horns cause the wall to fall? No. i believe that most of the bible is founded in real historical fact, but then elaborated on to support the beliefs of the writers, and the society they lived in. obviously there are some stories that just make for a good tale in the bible too.

I used to think like you, the Bible and God was just something with no special meaning; but some time ago, I have an encounter with God. It is nothing like I saw Him or I listened to His voice, it was well... something spiritual.
I am a normal person: 43 years old male, marry 15 years (very happy), two kinds, one dog, I have my own business with its ups and downs, pay taxes, etc, etc etc. But something was missing.
Then I opened my heart to God and I gave my life to Him and suddenly, it all made sense.
Life still life, full of the everyday problems, but I am different.
Thus for me, The Bible is not a myth, it is real. God is real and His son Jesus died so you and me can be save.
Now I pray to God every day and I read the Bible everyday, the words just come to life and I tried to live my life by God´s principles. I am very happy in this life and I know I will be even happier after death.
So give yourself a chance...open The Bible and read it (start with the New Testament), not just with your eyes and mind, but also with your soul. Have faith, God loves you even when now you do not believe in Him.

I would agree with you that the Bible has some truth to it. It may not be The Truth, but it is true in that it may have reflected the times, ideas and stories of those who wrote it.
It is not a lie, in that everything is fictional or a deliberate act of deception. That the Bible is not.
But, it is a guide and, in some ways, a history of a people in the context of their faith.

Yup I think so. Just look at a story like Noah Ark. Two of each animal on one ship- common on? Sounds like a bit of a fairy tale to me. That doesn't mean that everything in the bible has to be a myth. The real answer is nobody really knows for sure. People have what they call FAITH. I don't believe any of it. I do think it's possible there is some kind of god but without proof I'm not wasting my time going to some church and bowing my head.

The bible is a fable. It's a collection of stories based loosely (we have yet to discover exactly how loosely, probably more than we give it credit for) on history. These stories include advice for how to live and little lessons. The bible is like an older, longer and for some reason more venerated Aesop's Fables

just a bunch of stories in a book...I prefer Origin of Species
1. Many more individuals are born than can possibly survive, thus there is competition for limited resources
2. Within this vast number there is variation, and because of this variation some of these individuals will have an advantage--however slight--over others
3. The ones who have the advantages are more competitive and thus they are more likely to obtain the limited resources
4. The ones who are succeeding in securing the limited resources are more likely to reproduce and thus pass onto their offspring the more competitive traits
