canadian importers and exporters in Toronto and surrounding areas - I would like a list of all companies?

I am a new container transport company and I am looking for sales leads.

There is no specific list that contains all of the information you want, as there are literally thousands of importers and exporters in Toronto, and more in the area.


Many companies use established shipping lines and well-known domestic transport services.

You can ask Statistics Canada for the names of larger companies , but other wise you can look into freight forwarders / brokers and customs brokers as they will represent a great many clients, and can deal with you directly.

One of the best listings available is Scott's Directories. Scott's have direct contacts with companies across Canada.
They ask for advertising, but they also give free listings, which most companies take. The lists are compiled into a variety of categories, and many are cross-referenced, so you can readily find what you need.

These are huge listings taking up hundreds of pages. You can consult Scott's books at a public library or you can visit them on-line and see if what you want is available there.

Do you realize Toronto is 2 million people plus large surrounding area. Ask Bell Canada for their yellow pages .
