2mths ago my Dept "The Admin" Dept was told that we were going 2 have 2 also administer another branch across town, Since then weve been working 55-60 hrs a wk just 2 get things done, cause EVERYTHING is time sensitive. I the Admin Assistant attend the Sales Dept mtg once a mth. last week 1 of the Sales rep asked our GM "how long were going 2 have 2 work the other branch?" The response was indefinant. the next comment was "The whole Admin Department seems to have a Additude & are Angry" I was blown away, 1, I didn't have an additude I enjoy the overtime. Additude meaning I don't have time 2 do there minium **** like put something in a envelope or on letter head "Additude". I told the other 2 ladies in my department what was said since my GM said he was going 2 b speaking with them I thought I'd give them a heads up. This backfired when they got upset 2 & confornted some of sales. Next Im getting called in the GM's office I he telling me the conversation was to be positive? was I wrong?

You gossiped to the other people, which they brought into the meeting with them. I think your boss handled it well.

Your response should have been "I'm sorry. I actually enjoy it. What can we do to make sure that comes across to you?"

It's possible that your spelling problem is affecting the way they see you.

I hate to break the news to you. The reason you are working so many hours is because they don't want to hire anymore people before the big layoff before they send your job overseas.
