I just bought a dell vostro 1500 and it has a Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Wi-Fi Mini Card in it. How do I get a wireless internet connection? Do I have to buy a router or call my phone company and buy a wireless router from them or do I not need one at all? I am new at this! Thanks

If you want to go wireless, then yes you will need a router. Go to Best Buy, Circuit City or some place like that and they can help you.

make sure it has internal wireless and not a card. You can also buy special cards that work just like a cell phone. I think they are about $70 a month.

You have to have an internet hookup in your house, then attach a router to send the signal to your laptop.
