Yes I think so. Their would be less confusion about using operating systems. And they would get more done and run security checks!

I don't think that people should have to take a test in order to buy a computer. It's just like buying something that you will never use. It is really up to the person to decide whether or not they want to waste their money on something they can't use. And once the person buys the computer, it is not the company's responsibility to take care of the person. now, if the person needed help installing something, the company would only benefit because the person would require someone from the company to come and do the work on their computer- thereby creating labor costs.

In that case you'd also have to force people to learn to drive to buy a car . . .

Also a BASIC course is no use as BASIC went out of fashion as a language years ago. The Beginners All purpose Symbolic Instruction Code is so old hat now.

I think what people need ot to learn to read the "getting started" guides the stuff comes with to save asking on here "How to install printer?"

YES!!! No question about it. So many people are totally inept about computers. I hear so many co-workers inform callers on our 800 number "It's just a computer error".

Wake up! Computers don't make errors, people do. A computer is only as good as it's human programmer/operator.
