what do you do when there is a huge gap between what you want to do and what you should do?

I'm a social human being like u. man comes in the world only for few days. no one knows when s/he will die. so, when i want to do something i first think if that the work is right or wrong &if it could be done by me. but if there is a huge gap between what iwant to do & what should do i take suggestion from my friends/teachers/parents. they helps me a lot to choose the right way.but still if my mind don't wana do that i do what my mind says. because iknow that i'm not doing any wrong. but this kind of situation don't come to me often.

I think it totally depends on what the issue is. Do you want to go shopping, but you should stay home and clean the house? Do you want to have sex with someone but you are already in a relationship... Big Difference... Can you give us more details...

If not, I'd ask yourself this question. If someone came to me and told me what they had done, what would I think of them? If you take yourself out of the situation, you might be better able to determine if it's worth it.
