Hey, I was at the library and I see this boy named Thomas. Every day during summer vacation. We're friends. But when i desperately need to call my mom for a ride home. (I don't have a cell phone, go ahead call me a loser) I asked him If i could use his phone. He gladly loaned me the phone to call my mom. I thought it would be a good opprotunity to call him when anything's up. I went home, checked my caller ID with the exact time and date I called. It was definately his number. But when I wanted to call him. I was really scared. Before i could dial,. I hang up. We're friends, nothing further than that?
Ladies how can i get over my fear of calling him? I'm real scared.

i had the same problem i could talk to this guy in person fine.them i got his number off a paper he gave another friend. so i dialed the number and hang up just like you. i thought to myself if i dont do this then he may not think i like him so i got guts to call him and now we talk all the time on the phone and even though we was just friends he wants to get together soon. you have to be strong. you can do it. at least hes not a stranger think of it that way.
by the way ur not a loser i dont have a cell either. lol.

LADIES ONLY??????? From a guy's point a view.....we get flattered too! Thank him again, in person for the use of the phone. In a flirty way, ask if you can call him sometime now that you have his number! This will do two things (1) remove the fear of calling (2) make him realize that you have a interest!! If all goes well he'll except the offer! If he doesn't your friendship won't be weired out!

Alot of unaswered questions here, do you go to school with him? During your summer vacation, did you guys hang out and talk? When Thomas lent you his phone to call your Mom, was that the only interaction between the two of you? How does Thomas react towards you? Does he look at you, smile, flirt?
What you are feeling is perfectly normal and everybody goes through this WHEN THEY LIKE SOMEONE!!! What I suggest you do is get to know him BETTER. You need to interact with him rather than resorting to the phone, this will create a better understanding of him and help you get over your fear of talking to him.
If you like him then play it cool, don't rush, or push yourself on him. Once you get a better feel of who Thomas is, you'll know whether to remain as friends or maybe go to the next level of dating eachother.

girl I am older then you and yes have had this same damn problem.. it is to funny.. just call the dude. its better to know then not to know. right.. stop stressing about it, dial the dudes number and call him, not like you have to ask to talk to him if its his cell phone so that should take some stress off of you. call the dude, if he doesn't answer leave one message then don't call back till he calls you, try not to think of it so much, it will drive you crazy oh ya and if you do leave a message do your self a favor don't trip out if 2 days go by and you hear nothing, guys are like that. and they well most won't tell you if they don't want you to call them. they just make excuses, call him talk , if you have to leave a short sweet message and wait it out, but don't stress if he doesn't call, cuz guys are like that.....

well ,if you didn't know his number before that, then call him and just say you were checking your caller ID and didn't recognize the number .then get the talking
