Workers Compensation?? Did you have problems with it??

I worked as a workers comp rep for a few years. The whole system is a mess. Everyone had problems with it...too much red tape, too much of a backlog, stupid claims that tie up the time needed for the real injuries. I got tired of being yelled at everyday by angry workers when I couldn't help them fast enough (thanks to all the red tape), so I quit. I think the goal of most work comp reps is to delay until you give up. So don't give up. That's the best advice I can give you.

yes, I cut my hand at work. I got put on limited duty, so I didn't miss any time. I got paid 34 dollars for the 14 stitches I needed to get.
I know people who have been put on it, you get partial pay while you're on it. It takes some time to get the money. I got mine a month later.
Your employer can't go after you or do anything to you unless you were involved in horseplay or being unsafe. If you were being unsafe, they need to prove that you have had training to avoid that type of injury.

Yes.... i cut my nail in half with a door, don't ask, and had to take a couple days off because it got infected, and they were fine. i got 60% of my wages. my hub dealt with them for ongoing problems with his arm, and they pay his travel, gas and ferry costs when he has appts or when he had to take a physio type class.

Yes and yes. They are slow to pay and try not to pay. Go to their office in person and start to bug them. Call frequently, they will pay to get rid of you.
