The sky, since from the perspective of all points on a sphere, all points up are those away from the center.

um well,
there's global warming bc of the greenhouse gases trapped in the atmosphere, and that's warming up the planet, but there's also global dimming, caused by tiny particles of air pollution in the atmosphere.
The tiny particles provide a place for water to condensate, creating clouds, which reflect light back to space and cool down our planet.
Unfortunately, the majority of people still think that air pollution is worse than greenhouse gases (even though they're both bad) so we're eliminating the pollution but only slightly decreased greenhouse gases.
No pollution means no global dimming. Slightly decreased greenhouse gases means more solar radiation gets trapped in the earth's atmosphere. This means that we're warming up the planet even more, and we obviously need to do something about it. Something. Anything.
Everything seems alright now, but in 50? 100? 200 years? we might be facing worldwide famine like that in Africa.
The ice sheets are melting, and NYC will be pretty much flooded in the future. And don't think that the water will just take up the space that the ice took up. There's water above ground, too.
THEN after we take in the air and water, there's tectonic activity beneath our feet. Earth's crust is moving slowly, causing earthquakes (and tsunamis), and volcanoes.
Earth is also revolving around the sun, and steadily moving closer to it, about 1 inch per year. Hmmm... what else....
There's also high and low pressure systems and ocean tides and WOW that's a lot of stuff.
But yeah. That's what's up with the earth right now....
... well, part of it...
