Atlantis is a mythical place.
Most maps only show real or historical places.
Atlantis will be shown on a map of mythical places.
So Atlantis itself keeps Atlantis off of most maps.

Atlantis may be entirely mythical. Even if it did exist, no one
knows for sure where it might have been. It has been suggested that the basis of the Atlantis myth may have been
an eruption of the volcano Thera in the Mediterranean Sea.
There certainly is no evidence of a sunken continent in the
area of the Atlantic Ocean.

no one did. In cartography, accuracy of data is most important. To get accurate data we must obtain it from reliable sources, which in this case, there are no sources (except from mythical texts). Since there's nothing to be shown, how do you aspect it to be keep off? In fact, we don't even know whether or not Atlantis ever exist (but I'm waiting for more solid evidence)

Um, the Atlantic Ocean?
Or maybe it is the evil mapmakers...and the satelite people...and the sea captains. Yeah, that's it. :)
Actually, I think Atlantis is under Bimini. :) I think the Bimini Road is a real structure of some kind and that Edgar Cayce was right. :)

The same people that keep Fantasy Land off. How the hell do you put a thing on the map if you don't know where it is or if it really existed?

Years ago I made the decision to keep it off the maps.
I own the place, like my quiet time, really enjoy my little vacation spot.
I would just as soon not spending my time picking up after the rest of you, especially after you leave broken beer bottles, trash, and forgotten clothing on my beaches.
I tried leaving garbage cans out but nobody used them.
So there you have it.
