I had to get one today because I was accidentally cut with a rusty fire poker. Before that I can't even tell you how long it's been.....

About 18 months ago. I ran a knife threw a few fingers and got one in the emergency room along with several stitches.
Note to self: never, ever, try to get an old candle out of a glass container with a steak knife.....

It's been 4 yrs, I had to get one because I went to the hospital when I broke out in hives & since I couldn't remember when the last time was they gave me one. The craziest thing ever happened when they gave me the shot I had a muscle spasm at the same time!

Your supposed to get one every 10 years. That's what my doctor told me. The last time I had one was back in 2003.
There will be some soreness aftewards for a few days.

about 6 months ago, i had a staff infection, not really sure how that would make me need a tetanus shot but then again i'm not a doctor
