Hello i am a teenage skateboarder. i have been skating since i was like 7, but i didn't do any tricks or ollie, just skated for fun. Now i skate for fun and i skate seriously also. i was just wondering if i am a good skatboarder here's a list of tricks i can do

pop shov it
caveman
finger flip caveman
kickflip(cant land it though)
heelflip(can almost land it)
primo
anti/backwards primo
caspers/truckstands(land it sometimes)
ollie
burt slide
rock and roll
flatland wrap around
i can also go up a quaterpipe and comeback down(into a fakie) without getting any air
and i can go up(without geting any air) and turn and comeback down(not into fakie)
a few more but i cant remember them right now

now on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) how good do you think this is for a young teenager?

also if you know anyplaces that may want to sponsor a person with this talent please let me know(but i doubt that)
Thank You
Johnny

if you are serious about getting sponsored, then it would be in your best interest to expand your repertoire of tricks before hand. i don't mean to crush any expectations you might have, but your trick list is a good start. there are, however, many sponsored skaters that can do all of these things in their sleep switch.

scale of 1-10 for a young teen? there are pros that are young teens, so i don't think a 1-10 scale would be a fair metric.

my suggestion is to go to your local skate shop. see if they have a site or dvd where you can check out their team riders. getting a local sponsorship is usually the way it starts. if you can see how well those guys ride, you'll have a better idea of how far you need to go.

let me ask you.. how long did it take for you to learn all of these tricks? are you afraid of injury? how persistent are you when learning something new? if you progress at a regular pace and are dedicated to skating, then i would say you have a future for a sponsorship, but not right now.

i am being honest and using my opinion. you aren't close at all to being sponsered. other people or companies may think other wise, but there are a lot of sponsored sketrs out there that can to halfcab bigspin heelfips down 8 sets. get my drift. u didn't say how old u are, so i don't know how long you've been skating for. i can do many of the tricks you can do, and i realize that you have been practicing for sure. i am 15 and can land heelflips, 180s, 50 50's, and am currently perfecting my halcab bigspin. i have been skating for about 6 years. on a scale of 1-10, 10 being an am that's sponsored, you are about a 3. you are comfortable on ur board, but you're tricks aren't entirely impressive. how big are your rock and rolls? are your primos don moving? do u ollie into your fingerflip cavman? i'm not saying you're a bad skater, you just aren't going to get sponsored yet. keep skating and don't stop. it's freedom, try new things, and tryto get as much air as u can. about 2 years ago i used to be at ur stage, so in 2 years, you'll probably be at my stage, then you'll be able to do bigger tricks with more air.
i've been talking for a while.
peace out.

first off.
being a real skateboarder means you skate for skateboarding.
if you can't do that and are offering yourself up to be sponsored then that's not a real skateboarder
second.
for a teenager you are pretty good, but not as good as the AMs out there (loy, figgy, etc.) go to the active AM and damn AM this year. its ameutur comptetions and you can see what they have to offer. also. all those you listed are pretty basic. and you should be able to get big air btw.
so keep on practicing. if sponsors see you, they will sponsor you. thats all

2/10 kickflips and heels take a while to learn what helped me is to relax and stay above the board you should also learn some grinds and learn how to do frontside/backside airs off of a quarter pipe try http://www.skateboard-city.com for a good skateboard trick tip section and great forums

about a 4 trust me fliptricks shouldn't be the only thing you practice. if you pay attention vert skateboarding is coming back so practice that i personally love miniraps and i cap skate them perfectly so keep practicing on other stuff. and yeah youre VERY VERY far way from a sponsorship dont get your hopes up!
