Aside from being accused of trolling, not knowing researching my question before asking...

I beg to differ.

Have Republican Presidents since JFK won (at times) landslide victories to become President because democrats (more in the middle) ditch their party in favor for voting for non-military type Presidents the republicans nominate... Such as Reagan and Bush Jr.?

Both of whom have been elected as President twice.

Wrong or not I do see a parallel on swing voters voting for non-military republican nominee's for President.

?

Since both Reagan and Bush Two, served in their own way I don't see it that way at all. I think it just happened that after Carters four years Reagan was the type of figurehead we enjoyed, he was what we wanted to think of as a president. But again, he was an actor. With Bush Two I find a completely different set of circumstances, there was a bitterness on the right, with Clinton's eight years being so successful, and their attempt to tear him (and now her) down going so far over the top that all sorts of nonsense is still being touted as "the Truth". With a conspiracy theory for every failed attempt half the US law enforcement organizations are 'covering up the real truth".
Now they finally get their guy in by using the Supreme Court once, and by vilifying a decorated war hero the second time.
Nice guys.
We didn't vote for Bush because he wasn't in action, or in Alabama, the nation voted for him partly because he had the backing of the Fundamentalists and partly because he was the offspring of big business and was very well funded.
What he wasn't was competent. Reagan had his Reagan Democrats due to charisma, Bush had little Democratic support, but plenty of money. I see no parallel in those reasons.

I decided to look up other Presidents after JFK's military record.

President Johnson actually left Congress (he was a representative from Texas in December 1941) to become a commissioned Naval Officer. Johnson actually asked Undersecretary of the Navy James Forestall to be assigned to a combat assignment but was sent to the West Coast to inspect ships. He did fly along during one combat bombing mission and received the Silver Star.

President Nixon was a Naval reservist during World War II and was assigned to command cargo handling units in the Pacific.

President Ford also served in the Navy and was an officer on an aircraft carrier. He served in the Third fleet under Admiral Halsey.

President Carter served in the Navy's submarine program after World War II. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Naval academy in 1946. He would study nuclear science with the Navy until he left in 1953.

President Reagan served in the US Army from 1937 to 1945. He mainly worked in public relations and participated in some of the war bond drives during World War II.

President George H. W. Bush was a Naval aviator assigned to the aircraft carrier USS San Jacinto during World War II. He received the distinguished flying cross.

President Clinton is the only President since JFK that has no military service, active or reserve.

President George W. Bush served in the Texas Air National Guard in the late 1960's. He never saw combat.

Johnson (during WWII) and Carter both served - Democrats

Nixon (WWII), Ford (WWII), Reagan (reserves WWII) and George H. Bush (WWII, youngest Naval Aviator ever).

Oh and George W did serve (in the Air National Guard) and was not sent to Vietnam since the type of jet he flew was not very useful in Vietnam (it was nicknamed "The Thud").

Basically all able-bodied Presidents during the 20th Century served in the Military. At one time it was the thing to do.

James Earl Carter served in the Navy in WWII.
Ronald Reagan did serve in the Military in WWII be it in Hollywood but he did don a uniform.
And George Bush "43" was in the Texas Air national Guard which means he also donned a uniform.

What you are asking is far different from the question you asked yesterday. By the way Both Presidents Bush were in the military. One honorably and the other quesionably.
