We lived in Hawaii at the time. I was 9 or 10. I cut a lock of hair off our cat to remember him by, then packed a suitcase with some clothes, a loaf of bread, and jar of peanut butter. Mom knew what was up, and since we lived on a secured Marine Corps base, she knew that I couldn't go far. I walked up the mountain and laid down in a small cave. I ate one sandwich, and discovered that I forgot to bring anything to drink. So I went back home, where Mom promptly grounded me for my little adventure. But hey, I had a glass of milk there.

confident in reality I did as quickly as, no longer so very some time past. What I enjoyed extra suitable than working away in spite of if advance into the cat interior the poem, representing, as a metaphor, i assumed besides, and animals are as plenty a factor of my existence as all and sundry is. i do no longer comprehend if i'm comfortable with being thoroughly feral, yet i'm no longer, in a strict experience, completely domesticated the two. super poem.

yeah, i was about that age. my parents were arguing and i ran straight to my grandmother's house... but, i got lost and stopped at this STRANGE house; and a man opened the door. He was inside with some other MEN playing cards. When I asked to speak to the lady of the house, thankfully one showed up. I ran out after a few minutes and found my grandmother;'s house. the police were looking for me and my older teenage brothers. My grandmother was PISSED!

Yeah I tried because my sister kidded that my mom had tried to abort me when I was inside her tummy. My kid heart was so hurt I ran away.
But I'm paperweight because it lasted only 2 hours.
