No because then I would be nothing, just a shell. I've suffered from depression for a long time and I find the most difficult times have been when I've felt nothing at all. Then I didn't even feel like a person. I took antidepressants and couldn't even cry so I stopped taking them. I'd rather battle on with my pain and at least feel human.

Good question !
Yep I would accept. Some days I am just tired and weary regarding matters about "personal growth" and the like and wonder : what for in the end anyway ?
When I am happy , people around me feel it and in turn are responding to positive emotions themselves.
When I am feeling like @$%%, the entourage sure knows about it and that makes them feel the same way.
Both ends of the stick are equally contagious.
So at the risk of sounding immature and being lazy today ,I am taking a shortcut !

hmm..on the other hand, if I did something wrong and did not feel bad about it....I understand your question about sociopaths now..

Oh why did I answer this one ??:-(
Might have a different opinion tomorrow...!

No.

Three reasons: 1) You would probably not feel any emotion at all, so you would miss out on both pain and joy.
2) I've learned MORE from the pain I've experienced than the joy.
3) The pain makes the joy more precious. ; )
