I watched my husband die...twelve days after a self-inflicted gun-shot-wound. He died in my arms.
Although I've seen and heard MANY sad things in my life, that has to be the topper.

The saddest thing I heard was a girl in my Coding class openly admitted that she hooks up with married men. I just did not understand it. Why would anyone do something like there?? There is no reward in it.

The saddest thing I have seen; any kind of terrorist acts are sad. I saw on CNN news a couple days ago clips of hostages that were taken in russia and a lot of them were children and what those children went through, was just so horrific and horrible.
And of course 9/11

In a movie - the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan where the gate on the boat drops and everyone is just massacred.

In real life, the worst thing I have seen (and heard of) is a dying dog. I work on an ambulance and have seen some crazy things, but a dog is way worse.

the saddest thing i recently heard was on a show of 9/11.

obviosly the whole event was HORRIBLE!

but the story of the girl whos dad was missing in the rubble of the twin towers really got to me.

heres the story;
they day after 9/11 the girl got a message of her dad saying he was trapped in a certain place, obviosly she was soo happy and the search began for her trapped dad. but then she heard that the message was from the day before, just before the building collapsed, and she hadnt got it due to comjestion in the line.

i think its so sad how her hope was just ripped away from her, and she had to go through the worrying all over again

Juliana Wetmore, the girl born without a face......Treacher Collins syndrome.

Juliana was born with Treacher Collins syndrome. She's missing roughly half the bones in her face. It's a genetic defect. And doctors say there's no record of anyone else in the world with Juliana's form of Treachers.

I think what's important for everyone when they see another human is it's not the face on the outside." It's the person inside.

She really does capture your heart.

If you'd like to contact Juliana's family here's the information:

Lots....recently though there was a man who set his dog on fire. He was still alive when the police an dfirefighters found him. Seeing that made me feel extremely sad and angry all at the same time. I don't understand how anyone could do such a thing to an animal who is so innocent and defenseless.

Hearing about the suicide of a very good friend I used to have at university.

I knew he was gay but did not want to come "out". He used to put a front of a jovial, happy go lucky guy, cracking jokes, heterosexual, having some girlfriends from time to tome, till his inner demons finally got the best - or worst- of him.
