I believe that in the waking state, your body has access to any point within 3D space in your your proximity. In the dream state, your mind has access to any point within 6D space in your mind/time-space's close proximity.
Ok, just to clarify: within controlled dreams you can access times past and future emerging possibilities, so you have access to that extra dimension: Time.
In addition, in a near-dreaming state that many call an "out of body experience" you will have access to multiple level of "vibrations", and various subtle bodies (as compared to the gross material body) will be accessible to you and each can be used within a certain range to access similar high/low vibration states.
Also, in a dream you have access to an ordered space of ideas that make up mind-space. these ideas are connected by a web of mutual similarities in meaning (e.g. dog -> cat, are connected multi-dimensionally by being "pets" "fighting" "furry" etc.). Although this web is not a single dimension, it can be imagined as such in order to simplify things.
So you will have 3D-Space+Time+energy Level+Meaning=6D Space
In Love and Light.

On the assumption that I am normal, I dream in solid reality. When I was younger, I would awaken not realizing tha it was in fact a dream. If anyone touches or tries to touch, I wake up.

They occur in 3d, but our memory is 2d. That just like color. They say women dream in color, and men in black and white. In reality we all dream in color, it's just our memories that are different.

If you really, truly want to know what dreams are made of, read the 17 books of T Lobang Rampa (available eBay and elsewhere). Ignore the claptrap others have written about him and read, decide for yourself. The answer lies not within the stars, but within you.

Mine seem to be in 3D because I swear sometimes I can touch and smell in my dreams.
