I dont know. My dad goes into these manic states and he acts like a complete different person. He doesnt claim to be someone else but he is different. I think there are people out there that fake their mental health problems to get attention or to get on disability so It's really hard to say who is faking it and who is not. Is it possible that people can really have a multiple personality disorder? yes I think so but the hard part is telling who is faking.

Absolutely! In fact, they're the most who need most of our hugs. These poor souls may have multiple fears, and multiple pains as well,.. so us who are lucky enough to consider how their minds get warped, or get strained, or even get lost within a carousel of chaotic thoughts, should extend them our multi-hugs to give them that sense of belonging and security. Hugs are good representation of warm love and care...and they are all free to give.

I have never known a soul with MPD. I think it is a crock diagnosis trumped up by Hollywood and psych books!

You have a wonderful day, as well.

A hug for each person is fine. Yes, I said each person because that is pretty much what it is. : )

Finally somebody who understands! That would be five for us. One of us will not hug anyone. [Well, we don't know what she does when the rest of us are sleeping. That's why we try to sleep in shifts.]
