There is that part in all of us, the Hebrew term is the yetzir ha'ra, the evil inclination. It is the spirit which answers our evil deed at judgement, a part of the free will we were given at creation. With some it is stronger than others, and for some it becomes their whole identity. It is not God's doing, neither does the devil make someone do it. Most of those who fall in that direction are broken and conflicted people. Some, but not all, can be redeemed. Prayer and introspection does a lot, but more is done with conscious work and effort on the part of the person, the community, and divine help.

First, "evil" is a very strong word. I, personally, don't think or reason in terms of evil. There is "bad" & "good," but these apparent dualties need to perceived as what they are--subjective opinions. What is defined as bad in one culture, or in one time, may not be in another.
Secondly, the only thing of which I know that "makes" humans behave badly, is something that they are born with. There's a view that no baby is born "bad." This isn't true. Some are born psychopaths, or sociopaths, & nothing will ever change them. With that exception, NOTHING "makes" us bad. Not the way we were raised, not our environment or experiences. I've seen adults who were raised in the same family, & couldn't be more different than one another. Another misnomer is that an abused child will abuse their children, & so on. NOT unless the propensity is there at the start.
Do you remember the overwhelming sacrifice & humanity in 9/11? What does that say about humans? The nature of one's spirit & moral compass, their choices in truth to themselves are what humans ARE.

As humans we are easily influenced by the actions of others and our own sefish wants and ambishions. it is when we follow through with those that we have an evil action come out of us. when we are young, we are born without evil. It is the influences around us that make us act in such a manor.
Adam and Eve were not evil and they did not act upon those seflish desries till they took the fruit of the tree of Knowledge. And then they were not truely evil. Evil is a seed or possiblity that if we let it flourish, can devour us.

God bless America!!!

Not everyone is evil. I don't believe that anybody is born inherently evil. I think some are influenced by their environment to become that way and do not know any other way. It's all about enculturation. There are a lot of very good people on Earth as well.

Evil is privation of the good and is correlated ontologically to non-existence. Inasmuch as humans exist, we are not evil, we can perform deeds or actions that lack goodness or truth or justice-- and these actions can evidence evil. There is a distinction between a person and their actions.

i've got self assurance maximum human beings are born inherently solid or amoral. they'd then study morality or shown immorality that may reason them to being a ethical or immoral person. i do no longer think of all and sundry is born inherently evil however (or i'd prefer to have self assurance that a stunning little toddler can't be evil even in the previous being subjected to the woes of the worldwide).

depends what you think of evil. Cruel maybe, but its a dog eat dog world. Human beings can't be classified into a group. You can't hate Hitler and therefore hate me because we're genetically related.

Selfishness in all its forms, money being only one of its forms, and not at all the proverbial root of all evil.
