Guild Wars breaks the RPG mold in many ways, and does it with style. Henchman and Heroes make it very easy to sit down for a brief session that is action packed, whether you want to take some friends with you or tackle it yourself. It’s a dramatic change from spending half an hour looking for an eligible healer to fill out your group as is often the case in other games. If your primary interest is in PvP, you may want to start with the Factions campaign, but otherwise, Nightfall is a terrific place to begin your adventures in this series. Veterans of the earlier campaigns will also get good mileage from Nightfall as long as they’re not expecting something dramatically different. Guild Wars continues to forge it’s own path among online RPGs, Nightfall is another beautifully implemented part of the package.

That's a question that you really need to decide for yourself. Lots of folks will tell you that Guild Wars sucks and WoW is the greatest game ever!!!!! Lots of other folks will tell that WoW sucks and Guild Wars is the greatest game ever!!!!!
If possible, get a free trial for both games and play each one for a bit until you develop a preference.

Personally, I love Guild Wars. I've never played WoW. I've heard that WoW has more choices and longer gameplay yet I've never run out of stuff to do in GW (and I play at least 2-3 hours per day). The graphics in GW are top notch and the PvP system is nice. Not much grind.

Guild Wars does not have a monthly fee, so if that's a concern then that's the game for you. If you don't mind the fee then try WoW for a few months and see how well you like it.

To me, I think World of Warcraft is better because:

Much More Players
Instances and Raids
Just the feel of the game
and many more

But then Guild Wars has:

No Monthly Subscriptions
A pretty cool PvP Arena
and ITS FREE!!

Yeah so if your low on money, I'd go for Guild War. Pretty fun game. But if you don't mind paying the monthly fee's, then World of Warcraft is the best way to go!!!!

Both have their ups and downs i personally now am playing guild wars...

Guild wars questing is easier b/c map directs you to where u need to go and u dont have to read as much b/c in WoW u have to read about each quest just to find out where ur objective is, your armor never loses its condition always stays at max stats (in WoW u have to buy armor all the time). To travel from city to city in Guild wars is a lot easier b/c u just click on city name on the map. However the level cap on guild wars is 20 and i already have 3 lvl 20s since august. There is more people in WoW but ur going to get to meet the same amount of people in each game due to server size. WoW in general is just a bigger game but i suggest you try the 10 day trial for WoW. Just google for it and see wat you like but i dont like to pay the $15 a month and still have to purchase the game so i just got guild wars b/c of the no montly fees and the gameplay is really good not much different than WoW. Overall WoW is just a bigger game, more reading, a lot more running and more buying replacement armor

identification definately say international of warcraft because of the fact it keeps getting extra advantageous and extra useful on an analogous time as guild wars is jus kinda staying an analogous and guild wars quite does get boring after a quick time of taking part in yet while your gonna play international of warcraft you're able to wanna start up quickly because of the fact lich king is popping out quickly and point cap is being raised to 80 so which you dont wanna be discouraged from leveling :)

pls do not follow the advice of using a free game..there is a reason why they are free..such as runescape..but between these two i would have to say WoW..gameplay is extremely user friendly and is easy to play..however after you become familiar with it there are many ways for even an expert at this game to have problems...Blizzard made it to where those completely dedicated could have a challenge..but those who just play to have some fun can enjoy wthout a problem..The environments look amazing..Guild wars..not so user friendly..but is not pay to play which is a huge plus..jus the game itself does not add up to WoW

World of Warcraft.
- can solo the whole game
- more players
- bigger world
- more quests
- better economy

Apparently, their PVP isn't as good, but it's a great improvement over the way it was when the game first came out.
