If someone in your company told a non p.c joke (without malice of course) or if you held open a door for someone and they didnt acknowledge you.

The second one offends me more, what about you?

the non pc joke, even without malice, ignorance is not an excuse and can still hurt, offend, alienate or intimidate people, feeling insulted by not being acknowledged for opening a door is petty.

The second is plain rudeness and bad manners, the first is not intentionally nasty, and only subjectively offensive, some people may find it amusing, others not, but it is not designed to be rude.

The second, I would have to point out someone's rude behaviour to them if they did this.

Since I don't need people to acknowledge my good deeds, I'm going to go with the first one. (Even though that doesn't offend me at all). Do you really need recognition for opening a door? You should stop being so needy.

The second one every time. People who can't acknowledge good manners are not worth my time.

I'd be more offended that somebody didn't acknowledge you for holding the door open or for not holding it open for you. This p. c. thing has gotten totally out of hand!!!
