The news that sexual interest and activity doesn't wane with the years may have shocked the kids and grandkids, but there are knowing nods and a few grumbles among the senior set and those who work with them.
A study of the sex lives of 3,005 men and women ages 57-85, published in August in the New England Journal of Medicine, sparked talk about such frisky behavior by those old enough to know better

I'm not surprised. I say, use it or loose it. I've found that my confidence in my sexuality increases as I get older because I'm no longer tethered to stereotypes of youth. I'm not living by anyone's sterotypes or body images any more. I set my own pace now and so does my hubby of 48 years. It gets better every day!

Why should we be old enough to know better?
When I was 42, yes over the hill, I discovered that I was pregnant.
My other 3 children were grown & out of the house.
I had Frankie on March 15, 1990.
My husband & I discussed it thoroughly & decided to have another ASAP, so they would have each other.
Boo was born on May 19, 1991.
They look so much like each other that someone is always asking if they are twins.
I'm glad We did it.

Never have thought that sexual activity and interest would cease with aging....guess it's because the men and women in my family were obviously active well into their 80's as I was coming of age! LOL

My doctor encouraged my wife an me (57 & 60) to enjoy our sex life when ever we felt the urge,which is several times a week. Why just last week my wife bent over and she's got the cutest butt. I just couldn't control my self and made love to her on the spot.
We've been banned from K-Mart.

I had a great grandfather with 23 children, he sired the last one at 63 and died when the child was 9 months old. Use it or lose it.

I can't imagine anyone being surprised, My mother told me 30 years ago most people should have an active sex life all their lives.

It seems to be pretty common knowledge that senior citizens in nursing homes have to be watched carefully by the staff. It seems that after lights are out at night, these frisky folks take to each other's beds..........!! Funnee.............???

My Mom and Step-Father got married when my Mom was 60 years old!!! I had to hear about some of their "escapades"!!!
Less used to tell me "Do you know your mother and I are completely sexually compatible"? "Last night, we both had a headache"!!!
They passed away in their eighties and I miss them sooo much!!!

Well, I am 58 and I can guarantee my interest has not waned.
