Nobody can answer this question for you. Your period will come when it comes.....

Dont be worried about going to camp. Take some pads or whatever you plan to use with you just incase so you know you are prepared if it does happen. Just try not to think about it and have fun!

I would plan to have some things for that time of the month on hand for when your period starts. A recommendation would be Always with wings. They are thin and can be stashed in those small places in your purse so you won't be embarrassed if someone peaks into your purse. What you're going through is pretty much a natural thing. Your body is going through a change turning you from a child into a young lady. Every girl is different so you can't base your development on others. You should talk to your Mom about the changes your having and what you can expect. If you can't talk to her, perhaps the school nurse. But, you can also see a doctor to answer any questions you may have. When you reach this stage in your development, they will ask your parent or gaurdian to wait outside so you have a chance to talk without parental interuptions. Anything you share with your doc is confidential and trust me, your doc has heard it all and won't embarrass you. It's best to be informed with the correct information over what wild tales you might hear from friends. Welcome to womanhood.

Key Point: If you feel close enough to speak to your mom about, then plz go for it, noone can help u more than your mom because she can literally even tell you how to wear it and wat to expect and it brings you closer as mother and daughter, it did with me.
1- Dont panic, it is a normal and less dramatic than you think event, I mean you'll have it for like the next 40 yrs every month if it is regular and everyone goes through it so dont feel alone. Also you can have a period and continue your regular life and continue your plans.
2-Better to be safe than sorry; take with you kotex pads or tampons, whichever you feel better to use. You can have a heavy period or a light one and it can range from 3-7 days but it can be less or longer than that "common" time period
3-Be prepared for cramps, you can be lucky to have mild ones but I have had both mild and moderate pain so it ranges so def take motrin or what my sisters and I like to use is advil liquid gels. Also you can be fatigued, have headaches and get nausea/vomitting, its all personal, depends on your body.
4- Dont worry about it, then it'll come stronger with more symptoms, just let it comes when it comes. I had no idea when my would come and it came 2 days after my 15th b-day and that was 7 yrs ago so believe me, its not the end of the world.

Oh Sweety, First of all I am so sorry you lost your Momma...she would be the one to help in this area, especially when you are going through changing from a little girl to a young woman...To answer your question..Yes it sounds as your period is slowly coming..keep a check for light to med yellowish discharge in you panties or on a pantie protector. This means that Mother Nature is approaching. Also like the others have said take a small box of feminine pads(Always ultra thins) are good for the first one. and a box of teen tampons.Playtex Pearls (slim to regular) Just for safety. I have a 14 yr/old so I am use to packing her important items for the just in case motto. Have a great trip..and try not to worry. Warm hugs =)

First of all, relax, you may be about to get your period, but you might not. It can happen anytime when you are your age. I remember being 13 and remembering how bad I wanted to get my period. All of my friends had theirs already, in fact my best friend had started when she was 10! I turned 13 in December but I didnt get my period until that following April. I will never forget it. It was a friday afternoon, I had just got out of school, and my stomach was hurting really bad. I went to the bathroom and there was blood when I wiped, so I had finally started. However, I had been having to wear a bra since I was 11, I had really big boobs for my age and had been shaving since I was 12. So while those are good indicators that you are going through puberty, it doesnt mean that you are going to get your period tomorrow. But I would keep supplies on hand just in case.

All of these symptoms could be explained by the fact that you are a teenager. It's hard to say when your period will start. I started 3 months shy of my 12th birthday, but most of my girlfriends didn't start until they were 14 or so. You might want to start carrying tampons or sanitary napkins in your purse & I'd definately pack some for your trip, just in case.

there's no way of knowing when your first period will come. just plan ahead and bring a bunch (like 20) of pads and some aspirin/midol. Get the always with wings, thin but super absorbent. also, bring extra underwear and extra pants/shorts.

it's likely that a counselor or teacher will have the pads or tampons for you but you may be too shy to ask. also, they may only have tampons and you probably won't like them at your first try. a counselor may only have bulky pads as well and they may seem embarrassing.

Expect it at any time now but I dont think you can predict exactly when. If you get it at camp, you dont need to worry. Just ask someone before you go how to use your protection of choice and take them with you. You can deal with this. (you may want to take some motrin to camp with you too.)

No one can tell you when you are going to get it. The best advice is to just take a couple pads with you when you go to camp. (I wouldn't start out with tampons yet, if only because you might be self-conscious when you aren't in your own bathroom)
