SCARED, everything to loose and nothing to gane.

Remember its not the players with the rivalry, its the fans.

Im a Yankees fan, but I will answer it anyway. I think it will be a very entertaining series. Its a crucial series for both teams. First, the Red Sox needs to win at least one game in order to keep the Yankees off their back, however we are only 4 back in the loss column, that would put us only 3 back. Secondly, the Yankees need to old off the Tigers who are playing better ball as of late. I know the Yanks have the same starting pitching as the last series against the Sox, but this time we are playing in Fenway, where anything and everything can happen. It will be a very good and competitive series, I just hope nothing happens, like scuffles, or batters getting hit by pitches on purpose. Lets just play ball.

I think they wish it was over already instead of having to watch the Red Sox get beat all weekend long.

I am a Yankee fan, obviously, and I love the rivalry. I lived in Sox country for a long time and took some razzing so I feel I am fully at liberty to do the razzing now.

Go Yanks!

I really hope the Red Sox can win the series - but I'm not over-confident. I am in the UK - so I doubt I will be able to follow it too closely - I will try to read reports on the games if I can. It will be interesting to see how the AL East standings look on Monday morning.

I'm excited. I have said a lot that I hope the Yankees make it back, because it will hurt more if we beat them this weekend or even better in the playoffs. Being out 17 would not have hurt as bad, because it would have been uneventful and folks would have given up a long time ago. If we eliminate them, now that will hurt and deflate all their hopes and expectations that they have built up in the last two months. Bring it on.

Sox just have to take one to have a really great shot at the division, but if we take 2 or 3 games its all but sealed. I just really hope we don't get swept. Same match-ups as last time. Nervous.

Yankees will win Friday (Matsuzaka's been pitching terribly lately), Sox will win Saturday and Sunday.
